Used in connection with the St. Columba Episcopal Mission on the northeast shore
of Gull Lake until the Mission was burned in 1862 during the state-wide Indian
uprisings. No trace left of church or cemetery. Mission was re-established in
1868 at the newly-created White Earth Reservation. Records from the original Mission
as well as from St. John's Holy Cross Episcopal Church at Crow Wing are on MHS
microfilm (MN 107). Known burials - German peddler murdered at Gull Lake in 1857,
Rev. E. Steele, Peake infant son, 2 of Hole-in-the-Day's Children, plus numerous
others. |

Used from 1850 - 1873. At least 19 known burials. Burial records are on MHS microfilm
MN 107. In 1868, the White Earth Reservation was formed and the Indians relocated
there. In 1872, the new town of Brainerd became the county seat, and the town
