From Lake Park, north on Hwy 10, east on County 9 less than 0.25 mile

Notes
Cemetery established between 1880 - 1890. This cemetery appears to be
located near the intersection of Lake Park and Cuba Townships. Based on
driving directions and recent highway maps I believe the physical
location of the cemetery is either the SESE Sec 34, Cuba Township or
NWNW Sec. 2, Lake Park Township. I have used the Cuba Township
coordinates. |

The Becker Co. Veterans Affairs department is the source of this
listing stating it resides at the "NE corner of SW quarter Sec 31, near
Kapple's cabin." Dave Donehauer, Funeral Director, has heard that there
may be a cemetery of this name near this location; however the area is
very overgrown and not very accessible. |

Cemetery has 9-13 headstones and is believed to contain several
unmarked graves of children who died in the 1893 diphtheria epidemic.
Surnames on headstones are: Larson, Solset (four children died the
summer of 1893). Last burial occurred in the 1920's. John Hanson,
Audubon, mows Larson cem; confirms infant diphtheria graves but does
not confirm Westburg Lutheran Cemetery name use for this cemetery. |

Notes
Dedicated in 1890. St. Mary's cemetery is located in the S1/2 NW1/4
Sect. 31, South East shore of Little Rush Lake, about 3 miles NW of St.
Theodore's church. Per 1937 report Mission interment records recorded
in one volume regardless of where the actual burial took place; about
900 burials are recorded between 1903 - 1937. A 1941 report states
there are about 75 graves and that St. Mary's was the first mission or
Catholic cemetery used near Pine Point, Minnesota. |

From Osage, take Hwy 34 to north Washington Drive, cemetery on west
side of Washington Drive 1/4 mile. |
Notes
Located on the eastern line of SW1/4. Used as community burial place
before deeded to Riverside Cem. Assn. Of Osage in 1903. Due to poor
record keeping the name Riverside was forgotten and became known as
Osage Cem. from about 1930 - 1970 before reverting back to Riverside.
Good records exist post 1932. Many unknown/unmarked sites. Many wooden
markers rotted away. |

From Frazee, take Hwy 29 north 1 mile, cemetery on west side of road.
Old part of cemetery nearly full, new section added in 1989. Over 500
burials to Dec. 2001. |
Notes
Established in 1892 on land donated by William Baer. This cemetery
replaced the old abandoned one about 3 miles east of Frazee city near
the old log Church known as St. Mary's. When a new church was built in
town the name was changed to Sacred Heart. Some Catholics were buried
in Chilton cemetery until the present cemetery was established, one
mile north of town. |

Notes
Cemetery very near intersection of where Carsonville, Shell Lake, Wolf
Lake and Spruce Grove townships join. Believe this is the same cemetery
listed as the Carsonville Cemetery in Carsonville Township Section 31
in the 1937 Becker Co. Cemetery Listing and "Cemetery Locations in
Minnesota", 2nd edition, Wiley Pope; both on file at Minnesota
Genealogical Society. The Becker County Genealogical Society records
indicate the location of Snellman Cemetery on Hwy 34 in Toad Lake
Township (this would have to be Section 36). The Becker County VA
Cemetery list places the cemetery at the corner of Hwy 34 east and
County 39 in Shell Lake Section 36. A 1971 atlas places the cemetery in
the location used here. |
