New England Historical & Genealogical Society Register (9 CD's)
A wide variety of genealogies and source material have been published in the Register for over 160 years, with an emphasis on New England. Authoritative compiled genealogies have always been a primary focus of the Register. Thousands of New England families have been treated in the pages of the journal, and many more are referred to incidentally. Typically, these articles solve a genealogical problem, identify immigrant origins, or present a full-scale treatment of multiple generations. |

Lewis's Gazetteers of England, Ireland, and Scotland (FTM CD # 270)
This CD comprises the three great gazetteers published by Samuel Lewis in the early to mid-1800s:
Of critical importance to the genealogist is the fact that even the most obscure places in England, Ireland, and Scotland are identified in relation to a parish and in most cases to a specific church, leading in turn to the identification of parish records. Thus, if you know the place of origin of your ancestor--the village or town--these gazetteers will show you, in effect, which parish records to search for births, marriages, and deaths. Modern gazetteers are useless for this purpose. But over and above their obvious genealogical value, these gazetteers are fascinating and illuminating in themselves, bringing to life the ancestral homes and villages which until now have existed in name only, or as part of family lore and tradition. Information that was once obscure and mysterious is now at your fingertips, and while helpful in compiling a family history, this type of information is indispensable in understanding the culture and environment in which your ancestors lived. | CD Notebook #8 | Family Archive Viewer | ||||||||||||

AniMap Plus 2.6
Just about every researcher deals with the problem of finding an old town that has long-since disappeared from the map. Or, you have a known location that is not now in the same county that it was 100 or 200 years ago. AniMap has solutions to these problems. This program will display over 2,300 maps to show the changing county boundaries for each of the 48 adjacent United States for every year since colonial times. The earliest map shows Virginia boundaries in 1617. Other states and territories begin with the earliest boundaries established. AniMap includes all years in which there were boundary changes, not just the census years. Maps may be viewed individually, or the program can set them in motion so you can view the boundary changes in a movie like mode. Maps showing the full U.S. are also included showing all the changes in state and territorial boundaries from 1776 to the present. Each map includes a listing of the changes from the previous map making it simple to keep track of parent counties. There are four speed adjustments in the "run" mode as well as being able to advance by single frames or select a year and skip directly to it. | (installed on HD) Yellow CD Notebook #8 (CD Not in notebook) |

1890 MN Veterans & Veterans Widows Schedule M123-22
A part of the 1890 US census was a Special Schedule of Surviving Soldiers, Sailors, and Marines and Windows. The schedule was designed to list persons who served in the Army, Navy and Marine Corps of the United States during the war of the rebellion (who were survivors), and their widows. This database is available on microfilm M123 (118 rolls) from the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). Information listed in this index includes the veteran's name or widow's name, rank, year of enlistment, and year of discharge Although the schedules were designed to list only those who served in military units of the Union and their surviving spouses, a few persons who served in the military units of the Confederate States of America were mistakenly listed. | CD Notebook #9 | HeritageQuest Resource Viewer |

Birth Records Index: United States/Europe (900-1880) (FTM CD # 17)
Over 1.8 million individuals have been located on these databases that contain both a birth year and location. Records that did not have at both a year and location were omitted from the compilation. Records with a birth year after 1880 were also omitted. The records that were extracted include the Social Security Death Records Index (CD 110), the Mortality Schedules (CD 164), The lineage linked databases of CD 100, CD 101 and CD 102, plus the Salt Lake City Cemetery records (CD 168). The Census index databases were not used as there was not birth information within the indexed record. In the case of the Mortality Schedules, the birth year was estimated based upon the age in the year of death. Listings Include:
